Steps 7 to 9-Portfolio Assignments
  • Each role has a menu of portfolio assignments to choose from and complete. Directions say to choose five or more assignments, or as your teacher directs.

  • Complete these assignments individually but you may consult and share ideas with each other. Really think about what you have learned and formulate your own responses and opinions.

  • There are a range of thinking skills and learning styles built into the portfolio assignments. The higher the letter of the assignment, the higher the level of thinking skills involved. Choose those that appeal most to you based on your skills, how you best express what you learn, and what kind of score you want to achieve.

  • Some assignments include a template or graphic organizer to be printed and completed on paper. Other assignments are open-ended, encouraging you to express your own creativity.

  • You will want to review some of the links you previously visited as you complete portfolio assignments.

  • Review the assessment rubrics to see how your portfolio will be evaluated.

  • To assist you in creating your portfolio, review directions for Getting Graphics Off the Internet.

  • Share your portfolio with the rest of your group. Discuss the results and note varying responses and conclusions.

  • Add the summary forms you completed during the research phase to your portfolio and submit it to your teacher at the end of the WebQuest.
