Steps 10 to 12-Task Force Presentation
  • Conducting research and completing portfolios were preliminary steps designed to help your group thoroughly understand its role in order to make a strong and convincing case to the rest of the task force.

  • The next step is to prepare a task force presentation as a group. From the diverse responses and reactions members may have formed up to now, your group must come up with a single clear, cohesive "case" to present. This step requires you to think, evaluate, analyze, and synthesize.

  • Go back and review the introduction, task, and question sections to clarify your thinking.

  • As a group, discuss and decide the points you want to make. Plan how to explain and defend your position. You may find the template Making Our Case useful for assisting in this process.

  • Prepare a PowerPoint presentation with 10-20 slides to showcase your "talking points." Include quotes, statistics, images, web pages, and/or clear statements of your rationale. Also include key pieces from group member's portfolios that communicate points you want to make.

  • Include all group members in creating and delivering the presentation.
