Grading expectations for the overall project are clearly stated in the assessment rubrics. There are three separate rubrics-for individual processes, portfolios, and task force presentations. If you eliminate the portfolio step, you would obviously not need to use the portfolio rubric. You may also want to adjust some rubric standards to reflect the way Endangered Traditions is implemented in your classroom. For example, if your students complete online portfolios, you will focus on specific aspects in the portfolio rubric that a teacher whose students create notebooks might omit, and vice versa.
