Some of my most deepest thoughts are expressed in my poetry. Here is a little taste of my poetry:

In this mirror I see this pretty brown skin
I’m not ashamed of what was created
Jet black hair passed from my nigga ancestry ancestry
Strong black niggas who went through the pits of slavery

What I see is a pretty black child

Looking through the eyes of a teenage girl
A girl who’s been through the tricks and trades of life
Looking at them pretty shaped lips
Them lips that let me speak my mind
Uh, huh pretty black child yeah that’s me

Looking at those acne bumps remindin’ me I’m still young
Young and well enough to go around and explore my environment and world
Mama always told me yup that’s the face of a cover girl
I know I’m gonna make it because I’m that pretty black child

Looking at this brown nose and these ears
Ooh do I smell and hear haters
Don’t talk me I got enough confidence to know that I’m a strong black child
Lets talk about  the color brown
Is it a crayon, is it wood
no it’s the color of my skin
I love that beautiful color because it reminds me of what my people went through to get here
Mmm,hmm pretty black strong child yeah that’s me!!
