Underground Railroad Involvement
This project has been a great learning experience for me. I had very little background knowledge of the immense role this area played in the Underground Railroad as a whole until this opportunity came about. It has opened my eyes to issues of the past and the problems that still exist today in the area of racial prejudice and discrimination. Working with fellow students of a different race has helped our students see different points of view and allowed them to experience new cultures.
